Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Kristen Baird

Rubies are Red

Alexandrite Red-Blue
Morganite is pink
And Amethyst too!

This year, your Valentine can be anyone. Your BFF, the coworker who saved your day, your mom, your son or daughter, your spouse, your significant other… they’re all your Valentines, if you want them to be! And let’s not forget the number one Valentine… yourself!

So today, I’m sharing a little lovey-dovey gifting inspiration in a variety of styles and categories. Just for fun, I’m putting a special emphasis on red, pink, and purple gemstones. But of course, you can personalize my jewelry however you want. No matter who you’re shopping for this Valentine’s Day, they deserve to be pampered with sparkles, and so do you!

Kristen Baird Blog - Valentine's Gifting - Wild Heart

Wild Heart Pendant

Back in my first year at SCAD, a jewelry professor told us to never make heart-shaped jewelry. But rules are made to be broken, and I challenged myself to do it in a way that was sophisticated, grown-up, and reflected my personal style. The Wild Heart pendant is a modern twist on the classic Valentine’s gift, with rippling hand-textured detail and a swooping asymmetrical form. This is not your mama’s heart necklace! (Although, I’m sure your mama has great taste, in which case it totally is.)

Mini Supernova Earrings with Rose Quartz

These unique and funky earrings are a great gift for your BFF or anyone who enjoys a night out on the town. (She’ll love wearing these to your girls’ night!) The minimalist design is accentuated with hand-textured details, including asymmetrical granules that add balance and a sense of fun. The soft dusty-pink color of Rose Quartz is also the perfect fit for Valentine’s Day.

Mini Splash Gem Bangle in Pink Chalcedony and Pink Amethyst Splash Gem Cuff in Guava Quartz and Amethyst

The Mini Splash Gem Bangle and its big sister the Splash Gem Cuff never go out of style. The organic rippling texture is carefully crafted through my famous reticulation method, and the bracelets are offered in a truly mind-boggling array of stone options. For Valentine’s Day, I recommend the juicy red-pink Guava Quartz (splash gem), soft Pink Chalcedony (mini splash gem bangle), lavender Pink Amethyst (mini splash gem bangle), or deep purple Amethyst (splash gem). Even better, wear them all as a gorgeous stack!

Sparkling Stream in Pink Tourmaline

The Sparkling Stream is the ultimate itty-bitty stacking ring. I love this option for a daughter or granddaughter because you can gift the Pink Tourmaline for Valentine’s Day, her birthstone for her birthday, green for Christmas… you get the idea. Several rings can be worn at once, so she can bring her memories with her wherever she goes!

Kristen Baird Blog - Valentine's Gifting - Silver Rings

Sunbeam Ring in African Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Pink Amethyst, or Opal

I always recommend adding some texture when building your ring stack, and the Sunbeam Ring fits together perfectly with the Sparkling Stream (almost like I designed them that way 😉). This petite ring has all the details of my classic Ripple Rings but in miniature form. It also comes in a wide range of lovely gemstones, like African Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Pink Amethyst, and dreamy Opal.

Songbird in Sunlight in Garnet and Rubellite

If your goal for this Valentine’s Day is to take someone’s breath away, the Sunbird in Sunlight in rich Garnet and elegant Rubellite is the way to go. The contrasting shapes and tones, asymmetrical flow, and delicate texture all harmonize perfectly to create a piece that is both modern and timeless. The richness of the colors captures the essence of this holiday and celebrates love in all its forms.

Kristen Baird Blog - Valentine's Gifting - Rose Gold

Rose Gold Stackers with Rhodolite Garnet, Morganite, Pink Tourmaline, and Pearl

Swoon. Moving into gold pieces, I just have to highlight rose gold stacking rings. Like their silver counterparts, these beauties are designed to fit together perfectly, but with an extra dash of sparkle and glam. The girly girl in your life will obsess over glittering faceted gemstones like Rhodolite Garnet, Morganite, and Pink Tourmaline. Pair the textured and four-prong Sunset Sparkle with its sister ring, the sleek six-prong Sunrise Sparkle to add subtle variety to your stack, and use the elegant Mini Pearl Ripple Ring as your base!

Seashell Sparkle Studs with Pink Tourmaline

These versatile studs are the perfect gift for a teenage daughter (or anyone with multiple ear piercings) because they look great when paired with larger statement earrings. For an elegant understated style, they’re also lovely on their own. Of course, you can always swap out the pink stone for a birthstone or favorite color!

Gold Mini Supernova Earrings with Ruby

Speaking of layering earrings, I happen to know the perfect piece to pair with the studs. The elevated gold version of the Mini Supernova Earrings features petite asymmetrically placed diamonds and a gorgeous faceted stone. Rubies are the essential gemstone of Valentine’s Day, so these earrings capture the essence of the holiday, but are still perfect for year-round wear.

Veiled Horizon Gem Necklace with Pink Diamonds

I’m falling in love with pink diamonds these days. I mean just look at that color! The Veiled Horizon Gem is delicate but with a slight modern edge. If your Valentine is a girly girl, this is the piece for her. Alternatively, a cool rocker chick will love the black diamond look, and a classic gal will adore the white diamond version. For a more understated option, consider the Veiled Horizon in silver.

Trillium Flower Pendant with Pink Tourmaline

Another shape I was told to steer clear of: flowers. Well, that’s too bad, because I happen to adore florals, and the Trillium flower is an all-time favorite. This enigmatic bloom thrives in the Rocky Mountains of North Carolina, symbolizing resilience and beauty. The rose gold and Pink Tourmaline version is perfect for the strong woman in your life. (It also layers beautifully with the Veiled Horizon Gem!)

Moonlit Waters with Pink Sapphire

If I were to pick one piece to pamper myself with this Valentine’s Day, this would be it. The combination of rose gold with soft elegant Pink Sapphire is fit for a queen. And let’s face it…you’re a queen! Everything about this piece, from the two petite diamonds to the delicate textured band, speaks of elegance, beauty, and sparkle. Treat yourself this Valentine’s Day - you deserve it!

Beneath the Stars in Dusty Pink Tourmaline

If you’re thinking of making the ultimate romantic gesture this Valentine’s Day, might I recommend something a little different? I’m all about engagement rings that express every woman’s unique personality, and this one fits the bill. The Beneath the Stars in Dusty Pink Tourmaline is full of romance and grandeur, but the design is completely modern and original. The unparalleled color of that stone is sure to sweep her off her feet. You know the old slogan… Some Kisses Begin with Kristen Baird®.

That’s it for my Valentine’s Day Round-Up! Wishing so much love to you and all your Valentines!
